TRUST & ESCROW

Your money moves only when the truth does.

Payment sits with Shindara — never the seller — until documents, inspection, and government-confirmed ownership all line up. Here is exactly how that works.

WALLET & ESCROW

Your money moves only when the truth does

Every naira funded into a Shindara wallet is trackable. Funds sit in escrow — not with the seller — until the agent confirms documents, inspection, and ownership are all real.

Segregated Escrow Ledger

Held funds are tracked apart from Shindara’s own operating balance and from any individual wallet — never commingled.

Release Requires Confirmation

High-value releases need an explicit buyer confirmation inside the chat, never an inferred yes from the agent alone.

Withdraw On Your Terms

Once a sale settles, sellers withdraw straight from their Shindara wallet to a personal or business bank account.

SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

Trust is enforced, not assumed

Because Shindara connects strangers around large sums of money, every control below is a deterministic backend rule — not something the AI decides on its own.

Least-Privilege Services

Only the backend payment and verification modules hold third-party credentials — never the agent or client app.

Segregated Escrow Ledger

Held buyer funds are tracked apart from Shindara’s own operating funds and from any individual wallet balance.

Idempotent Webhooks

Payment and land-registry callbacks are processed idempotently, so a duplicate notification can never double-credit or double-file.

KYC Before Funds Move

No wallet sends or receives above minimal thresholds until identity verification clears.

Human Escalation Path

Documents or identities the automated checks can’t confidently resolve are queued for manual review, never auto-approved.

Encrypted at Rest

Uploaded title documents and personal identity data are encrypted, with access scoped to only the services that need them.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Escrow, explained plainly

The most common questions buyers and sellers ask about where their money sits, and when it moves.

Only after two conditions both clear: the agent has verified the title against the land registry and you have confirmed inspection is complete, and the land authority has processed the change-of-ownership filing. Funds move to the seller only then.

Your funds stay in escrow, untouched. The agent tells you exactly what failed — a title mismatch, a missing document, an identity check — and you can choose to wait for the seller to resolve it, or cancel and get your funds back.

No. The language model can explain and recommend, but it cannot itself authorize an escrow release, mark a document verified, or move funds. Those are deterministic backend rules triggered only after every required check passes.

Filing is submitted to the relevant land authority immediately, but processing time depends on that authority and can take several days. You can download your filing receipt and every property document right away, and the agent alerts you the moment the authority confirms.

Your Shindara wallet is a dedicated virtual account created through our payment-gateway partner, used only for property transactions on the platform. You can withdraw the balance to your personal or business bank account at any time.
